Scout is at that difficult age where you feel like your body and emotions are out of control. A lot of the time she feels like she is older than nine, but sometimes she wished she could be five again. She also has a difficult time because she appears older than nine, so people expect more out of her than she is capable of. I decided to try and celebrate this period of change by collaborating with her on a mini album.
She decided she would like an album that looked like Paris, and she wanted to pick the pictures. I thought Pink Paislee's Paris Anthology would be perfect, and she loved the colors.
I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist on the cover, and modge podge for the doily.
The inside of the album I decoupaged, with scrap pieces of paper.
She loves this picture of when she was little, because it is one of the first ones where she doesn't look like a boy.
She chose this one because it was when she started to pck out her own clothes.
This picture was taken in Florida, and it was her favorite vacation "ever".
Scout loves to swim, and this year she worked hard all summer, so that she could join the swim team. I have to always remind her how incredible she is because she never quits, and always gives 100%.
This summer we took a girls only trip to Chicago, and she decided she loved the feel of a big city.
Scout is homeschooled, and she is really proud of what she has accomplished. She loves the freedom to learn at her own pace and to step up to a challenge. Her self motivation is incredible.
This picture was taken at the Field Museum, she was so in love with the place that we didn't even manage to see everything in eight hours. She wants to be a vet when she grows up, so she wanted to take time to study each animal.
My husband loves motorcycles, so he has taught each of the girls to ride. Scout feels like this makes her not just any other girl.
This year Scout's braces came off, and this definitely increased her confidence. She has found her inner girlie girl, and occasionally lets her sneak out.
Scout loves hiking, animals, and anything that has to do with the outdoors. She felt this picture represented her nature loving personality.
I stumbled across your blog from twopeas, and i felt the need to say that this is the most beautiful, and inspirational use of scrapbooking. I love the heart and effort into this and i think any daughter would be lucky to have this treasure! it truly is beautiful and such a wonderful idea! :)
