Every year we have done an advent calendar with the kids, usually Lego or Playmobil. This year I wanted to do something a little different, I wanted to have a calendar that focused on what Christmas really means to me. It had to represent the spirit of family, the importance of giving, and simple acts of kindness. I came up with the idea of an activity advent calendar. Usually the kids have a small tree in their playroom, and I plan as using this as the garland for their tree.
